Rick graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978 attaining the degree of   Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). He practiced for 10 years in various veterinary clinics in Saskatchewan and Alberta including a stint at 2 clinics in Australia.

In 1987 he decided to make a career change and entered the Financial Planning profession with Partners in Planning Financial Services Ltd.

In 1989 he was awarded the Chartered Financial Planner Designation by the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning which led to him being awarded the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation by the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada in 1996.

Over his career he has served as President of the local and provincial chapters of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (CAFP) and has conducted numerous seminars as well as been interviewed by local radio, television and newspapers about various financial planning topics.

He also wrote a weekly column for the Regina Leader Post entitled Family Finances for which he was awarded the CAFP Multi Media Award.

Rick is currently working under the Wolfond Financial banner and has added Nicole Putz to his financial planning practice. The addition of Nicole will enhance Rick’s aim of providing comprehensive financial planning services for all his clients.
